Hero MotoCorp launches new brand identity in Nepal
Hero MotoCorp launched its new brand identity in Nepal. This is the second international market after Sri Lanka. The company has launched 14 models to start with. The company has appointed Nepal General Marketing (NGM) as its authorised distributor for Hero two-wheelers in Nepal
“As part of its ongoing initiative to take brand ‘Hero’ across international markets, Hero MotoCorp Ltd ( HMCL) launched its new brand identity and its range of two-wheelers in Nepal,”
Commenting on the development, Hero MotoCorp Managing Director and CEO Pawan Munjal said: “Nepal has been a very important market for us and we are already a market leader in this country.”The fact that we have chosen Nepal as one of the first international markets to launch our new brand identity is indicative of the significant role this market plays in our plans to expand our global footprint”.
The company has plans to commence its exports to new international markets in Africa and Latin America in order to reach the stated objective of 10 per cent of its total volumes from international business in the next five years.
Hero MotoCorp has roped in the renowned Italian two-wheeler design firm “Engines Engineering” to partner with it in bringing HMCL’s next-generation product line-up. The Bologna-based firm will impart technological know-how in terms of superior designing for the future products to be launched by HMCL.
