There has been news doing around the internet of the Mahindra Verito Compact sedan being launched n the 25th July. But as per our sources the Verito facelift will be launched on the 25th July.

The refresh could largely be limited to a new grille, head lamps and tail lamps. A dose of chrome and new interiors could also make it in the Verito. In terms of mechanicals there are no much changes expected. The Verito will continue to be powered by a 1.4 Petrol Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) engine and 1.5 Diesel Common Rail Direct Fuel Injection (CRDI) engine. The diesel variant offers ARAI certified diesel mileage of 21.03 kmpl.

The Verito has the widest backseat in its class and Bootspace with a capacity of 510 litres, the largest in its category. In terms of safety the car is equipped with ABS with EBD, SRS airbag, Side impact beams and Anti-theft Engine immobilizer.

Mahindra has confirmed the launch of the smaller version of its sedan Verito by the end of 2012.

“In the next couple of months, we will have our compact SUV and by the end of the year, we will launch the sub-four metre Verito. These new products will enable our sales to grow further this fiscal,” Mahindra & Mahindra Chief Executive (Automotive Division) Pravin Shah”.

This step is also taken so as to prevent any cannibalising of sales with the mini Xylo which be launched around the festive season.
