Yamaha registers a half yearly growth of 9.6 %

 

As it enters the second half of the year, India Yamaha Motor continues to maintain an upward trend in sales on the back of its superb product line-up and innovative customer centric activities. The company registered a growth of 9.6% in its half yearly sales from January to June, 2012 with a total sale of 228,378 bikes as against 208,288 bikes during January to June, 2011.

In the domestic market, the company recorded a sale of 160,718 units from Jan – June 2012 vs. 152,177 units from Jan – June 2011, registering a growth of 5.6%.  The export figures stood at 67,660 units in the first half of 2012 while 56,111 motorcycles were exported in the first half of 2011 thereby registering a 20.6% growth.

Speaking on the results, Mr. Jun Nakata, Director – Sales & Marketing, India Yamaha Motor, said, “This year’s growth has been encouraging and we are happy with the outcome. Our consistent efforts to rev up sales backed by innovative marketing strategies and an impeccable product portfolio across segments, has been very fruitful in the former part of the year.

Our efforts towards enhancing our relationship with our esteemed customers through various initiatives like the Yamaha Safe Riding Science, Yamaha Riding Clinic, R15 One Make Race Championships and the Sales & Service camps have also been very rewarding. We hope to continue this growth trend in the latter half of the year also.”

 Yamaha continues to reinforce its relationship with the customers and has launched the ‘YES!YAMAHA’ campaign that endeavors to provide the Best 3S Experience so that the customer always appreciates Yamaha and accepts the brand like the word “YES”. The company is making steadfast efforts in offering new excitement to customers and with its plans to launch scooters in the second half of this year, the company will strive to strengthen its position in the scooter market as well.
