SPIED: Renault Fluence facelift spotted testing once again

Yet again, our friends from CarScoop have snagged a prototype of the next-gen Renault Fluence.  Spied testing in Europe this week, this is the first major update for the French saloon since its international debut in 2009, and its Indian launch in 2011. The car however, still carries the psychedelic camouflage which makes it difficult for us to spot any changes.

As you can see from these fresh spy-shots, the facelift will carry a sharper looking front-end along with a new set of headlamps. The wing-like grille will be similar to what we’ve seen on the new Clio MK4 and the Renault logo will sit on a more prominent location. The redesigned headlamps also seem to have integrated LED day-time running lights; however we cannot confirm it till the camouflaging gets out of our way.

Since the rear end of the vehicle is not entirely covered, we don’t think there will be any major changes. The rear bumper looks as though it is unchanged, but the fact that the tail lights are masked suggests that they will be restyled.

As you can see in the picture posted here, the car in the showcase matches our description of the facelift. There are also a few rumours that the car has already been previewed to a select group of people in Europe. However, we cannot confirm if it’s true.

One can expect the French-car maker to enhance the interiors and also update the engine-line-up on the sedan. Renault will officially unveil the updated Fluence at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
