Audi India opens its new showroom in Coimbatore; second in Tamil Nadu

Audi India is racing hard in the Indian market. With aggressive product range the company is also spreading its dealer networks in the Indian market. After capturing the main metros the German luxury car maker is now getting aggressive in the Tier 2 cities.

Audi has opened its new showroom in Coimbatore; second in Tamil Nadu. Spread over a total area of 6102 sq. ft Jahnvi Motors Pvt. Ltd will manage the operations.

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, the opening of Audi Coimbatore – its second showroom in Tamil Nadu and fifth in Southern India. The world-class showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Mr. Anandakrishnan CR, Managing Director, Audi Coimbatore (Jahnvi Motors Pvt. Ltd).

“Audi already has a strong presence in the southern market with showrooms in key markets like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi. Spread over a total area of 6102 sq. ft., Audi Coimbatore showroom has a honeycomb aluminum façade on the exterior. The showroom has a display area that can accommodate 6 Audi cars. Audi Coimbatore will also house an Audi Shop and the Audi Exclusive elements, where customers can order customized products and purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise. The entire Audi India Model range will be available for sale in Coimbatore.

Audi Coimbatore will also manage the exclusive Audi service facility, located at Avinashi Road. This facility is spread over an area of 13250 sq ft. and has a capacity to service 10 cars per day in 1 shift on a total of 5 bays. The technicians at the facility are trained to ensure world-class services to the customers.

Audi India plans to expand its network to 25 dealerships by the end of 2012 from its existing 18 centres. Audi opened new showrooms in Delhi West earlier this month and in Nagpur last month. Last year, the luxury carmaker opened new showrooms in Delhi South, Chennai, Ludhiana, Surat and Indore.

Audi recorded a strong first quarter with 2269 cars delivered in India between January to March 2012 – an impressive growth of 41 percent over the same period last year (1611 cars: Jan- Mar 2011). Powering ahead with its positive outlook for 2012, the brand with the four rings continued its growth trajectory with a sale of 1002 cars in March 2012 – a growth of 47 percent over the same period last year (681 cars: March 2011); which nearly equals Audi India’s annual sales figure of 2008 (1050 cars).

The Audi model range in India includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q5,  Audi Q7, Audi RS5 Coupé, Audi TT, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder available across the country: in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi South, Delhi West, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai West, Nagpur, Pune, and Surat.
