All new Corolla under development, launch by 2013
Toyota is working on the all new Corolla which is due for launch in 2013. Code named Project 140 the new Corolla is going to quite different in terms of design and now gets a bold look. The car was previewed to the officials from India, Thailand, United States and Brazil.
The 11th generation Corolla will be a completely radical design and will get away from the elegant looks to incorporate the new sporty look like the new Camry. In terms of dimensions the car will be largely similar to the current measuring 4.5 metres. The Corolla will most likely run on the same engines with more refinement and hopefully a dose of power.
The Corolla does decent numbers in the Indian and market. The car competes with the likes of Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Laura and Renault Fluence.
India now seems to be an important market especially after the success of the Etios and Etios Liva. Toyota may launch the new Corolla in India earlier than expected hopefully
