Fiat to launch 2012 versions of Linea, Punto

Fiat India plans to launch new versions of the Linea and Punto. Fiat may be absent at the Auto Expo 2012 and will launch the upgraded variants in Delhi followed by opening of new Fiat brand showrooms.

As per our sources the versions will be reshuffled with Dynamic variant now becoming the Active, Dynamic becoming the current Emotion and Emotion will get the Emotion pack features as standard

In case of the Punto all features of

Dynamic will become standard in the Active

Emotion will become standard in the Dynamic plus more features

Emotion Pack will become standard in the Emotion

In case of the Linea all features of

Dynamic will become standard in the Active

Emotion will become standard in the Dynamic

Tjet Plus will become standard in the Emotion plus more features

We expect Fiat may revise the prices. There will no changes under the hood and are restricted to features only.

The company will open its first standalone Fiat India dealership at Delhi on the January 7th, 2012. Fiat India has been struggling with sales and sales combined are less 1000 units per month.

Fiat tied up with Tata Motors for manufacturing and sales, but the venture has not profited with Fiat India posting sales below 1000 units mark.

With the new refreshed variants and sole brand stores Fiat may hope to revive its sales.
