Renault Fluence to get upgrades, more power & features

French car maker Renault will launch a new variant of the Fluence Sedan. The upgraded Fluence will now get a higher tuned diesel engine. Essentially the 1.5 DCi wil now be tuned to deliver 108 bhp and the same engine will also be plonked in the Duster SUV.

The engine now gets better refinement levels and reduced Turbo Lag.

The E4 varinat will also get new features like:

  • Cruise control
  • Rain sensing wipers
  • Chrome-lined trunk-lid and window sills
  • Auto headlamps
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Electrically adjustable and foldable rear-view mirrors
  • Leather upholstery
  • Rear sun-blinds
  • USB and Bluetooth equipped audio system,
  • Dual-zone climate control and rear AC ducts

The price could see a slight revision over the current model.

The Fluence currently competes with the likes of VW Jetta, Skoda Laura, Toyota Altis and Chevrolet Cruze all models which is available with diesel hears. The Fluence is definitely a good buy considering the fit and finish.

Renault should step the number of dealers if the company is looking for bigger pie of the Indian market. Besides more affordable models should be launched.
