Skoda India has confirmed the launch of the Fabia Scout and will be launched in 2012. Skoda is also planning more variant of the Fabia hatchback which will help the company to cater to a larger segment of buyers which have different preferences.

Skoda has been testing the Fabia Scout in India and the car has been caught many times on the Indian roads. The Scout gets chunkier bumpers and bodyside cladding with 4×4 inspired styling.  Plastic trim for the mudguards, sills and lower parts of the doors protects the chassis from flying gravel.

Skoda Fabia Scout would be equipped with a 1.6 petrol/diesel engine. There is also news of the car being strapped with a new 1.5 diesel engine.

The Scout could be a good option to buyers who want SUV look alike hatchback and want to wander out of the city during the weekends.
