Skoda has launched the much waited Yeti 4×2 in India (the formal launch is expected soon). The Yeti may look the same as the 4×4 variant but gets modifications under the hood. The 4×2 variant gets the same diesel heart but has been de-tuned and now produces 110 bhp @ 4200 rpm with an impressive torque output of 250 Nm @ 1500-2500 rpm. The SUV also get a speed less compared to the 4×4 variant, as the engine is mated to a Manual 5-speed fully synchronized Transmission. The Fuel tank capacity is also reduced to 55 litres (guess it sips less fuel now as the Yeti 4×4 has a fuel tank capacity of 60-liters). The mileage figure and the prices will disclosed during the formal announcement.
The Yeti 4×2 is available in Active variant only and losses quite a few features compared to the 4×4 model, which is available in Ambition and Elegance variants.
