BMW Motarrad launches F650 GS in India

BMW Motarrad the two wheeler division of BMW has launched the cheapest model from its range in the Indian market. The F650GS was launched some years back in the early Nineties where BMW had a tie-up with Hero. However the motorcycle did not see many customers and the company sold the remaining stock at throw away prices.

However BMW has left the old memories down the lane and has launched the all new F650 GS in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.  At this price also the bike seems expensive and may not lure a big list of customers.  BMW is a very niche player in the two-wheeler segment in India and is mainly targeting the upper end of the audience only.

The F 650 GS is a bike which can perform in any situation. With a water-cooled 798cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, and an impressive 71hp, this sturdy motorcycle will never let you down. BMW Motorrad also offers a reduced power version (34hp/25kw) which is perfect for beginners.

The bike will be sold as a CBU and will be retailed through its three dealers in India:

Bangalore-Navnit Motors

Delhi NCR-Deutsche Motoren
