Tata Nano diesel caught testing, launch early 2013?

Finally the Nano Diesel has been caught red handed. The Nano diesel has been a talk ever since Tata launched the Nano is 2009. The Nano diesel certainly has been delayed heavily but it never too late. The Diesel Nano was been caught testing numerous times, but did not carry any concrete proof of it being the diesel variant.

Thanks to Rohan and IAB who have caught the Nano at a fuel station being tanked up with Diesel. Tata had announced earlier that the Nano will be launched with a diesel heart. The engine is being developed with the help of component maker Bosch and will be launched by end of this year.

The Nano Diesel will get a 700cc CRDI engine which will produce close to 35 bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. The expected mileage is around 40 kmpl.

The Nano diesel will get modified front and rear bumpers. The Nano Diesel will be priced around Rs. 2-2.2 lakhs for the base version.

The Nano has once again touched the 10K figure after a year. We hope the car more success and wish Tata gets the Diesel Nano right from day 1.
