Mahindra continues testing Mini Xylo
Mahindra Mini Xylo has been caught a numerous times now. Mahindra also announced a few days back that the company will soon enter the sub compact segment. The company has charted an ambitious strategy to enter the car segment.
The first product will be the Mini Xylo, which is based on the Xylo shortened Ingenio platform. The mini Xylo was caught testing again and this time in Bangalore which is expected to hit the markets in a few months from now. The project has been delayed as the product could not meet the satisfactory levels at the Mahindra management.
The mini Xylo will sport a three cylinder diesel unit which is a shortened version of the M-Hawk engine displacing 70 hp of power and 160Nm of torque. The SUV will be less than four metres of length which qualifies it for the 10% excise duty. The engineers have completely redesigned the rear with the spare wheel mounted on the rear door. The interiors will be see subtle changes.
Will Mahindra able to see the same triumph as the XUV500 with the new mini Xylo?
