Mercedes India has quietly launched the E220 CDI in India. The E-Class now gets a 2143cc diesel engine with Rated output at 170hp@3000rpm and Rated torque at 400Nm@1400-2800rpm.
The E220 CDI is available only in the Elegance trim. The Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI is priced at Rs. 44.50 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).
The E220 will give BMW 5 Series 520d some run for the money. Audi too has launched the A6 2.0 TDI in India at Rs 37,70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
