Nissan Sunny launched in Kerala

Nissan India the all new Sunny in Kerala. The new car is aggressively priced at Rs. 578,642, Rs. 688,764 and Rs. 768,854 for XE, XL and XV grades respectively.

Nissan is targeting 80 cars a month in the state.

The Nissan Sunny Sedan is built on the famed Renault-Nissan V-platform, the same versatile platform on which the Micra Hatchback also is based on and will be produced at Nissan’s Orgadam plant of Chennai.

Nissan was also planning to have 100 operational dealers by March 2012. At present there are 80 dealers pan India of which only 45 are operational, he said.

Nissan Motor India is targeting to sell 30,000 Nissan Sunny cars nationally by March 2012.

The Sunny with a 16.95 kmpl of fuel economy will be available to customers across the country without any waiting period for delivery, he said.

Designed in Japan with significant inputs from Indian market where it will be sold, the Chennai built Sunny, aimed at India’s young professionals, is Nissan’s second made in India offering to the domestic market.

The name SUNNY has been iconic with the Japanese automobile company for the past 45 years since the vehicle’s first launch in 1966. The 10th Generation Nissan SUNNY is based on the popular V- (Versatile) platform, the one used in the Nissan Micra.

The car has been designed and fine-tuned to meet different tastes and needs of customers beyond its market segmentation in both developed markets and emerging markets like US, China and India. It will appeal to a wide range of buyers, including professionals and families with a young mindset.

The vehicle’s exterior design offers a refreshing design character that is both sophisticated and aerodynamic. Its design is the epitome of energetic and sleek lines with sculpted and dynamic proportions that offer the sedan a very upscale look. Frontal design cues like the new Nissan signature grille and the jewel like headlights enhance the overall chic look of the vehicle while sporty and smooth silhouette is the theme for the side profile of the car.
